Contacting College Football Coaches & Prepping for Camps

Recruits, and parents, whether you are sending college coaches direct messages or attending camps this spring and summer. Here is an organized way to connect with college coaches that will leave a lasting impression.

Below is an exact example of the our email newsletters we send to parents and recruits who sign up for our free newsletters.

Include a Google Drive folder to send a DM or if you meet with a college coach at camps, you can send them a direct message via Twitter(X). Send them this Google Drive with your info. Coaches may sometimes have their DM’s open for recruits to send them a message or have to follow your athlete for them to receive a DM. If a college coach doesn’t follow your athlete and or have their DM’s open. Send them your info through email which can be found with a simple Google search of the football staffs directory. Send your position coach, graduate assistant, and recruiting coordinator a DM or email with the following info.

When contacting college coaches, it’s crucial to supply them with all the required information. Along with your Google Drive folder, remember to include your academic transcripts, highlight videos, and a well-written athletic resume. This thorough approach will provide coaches with a full understanding of your abilities and improve your chances of grabbing their attention.

Furthermore, it’s critical to personalize each message to college coaches. Research the specific program and mention why you are interested in their school. Secondly, highlight any notable achievements or awards you’ve received, as well as your future goals and aspirations or how you see your self benefitting that program.

Demonstrating your dedication and enthusiasm through each individual message after or before you have camped and any respective program; you will make a strong impression on the coaches and improve your chances of being recruited.
