Diversion Sports Management, a part of Diversion Sports Media, LLC, is dedicated to representing champion-caliber High School and College athletes. We provide comprehensive brand management, recruiting, transfer portal assistance, and N.I.L. (Name, Image, Likeness) support. In collaboration with our sister brand, tdrecruits.com, and our extensive industry network, we offer student-athletes a spotlight and platform to showcase their talents. Our primary focus is on athletes exhibiting FBS to FCS caliber potential while exemplifying strong character both on and off the field. We also assist athletes on developmental pathways through Division II, III, and JUCO levels. Our impartial evaluation approach aids college coaches and universities in finding champion-caliber football players at the High School and collegiate levels. Our mission extends to helping college football coaches fulfill their teams’ needs with exceptional athletes.

Job Description

As a Sports Agent with Diversion Sports Management, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and promoting high school and college athletes as they navigate their athletic careers. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

– Identifying and recruiting talented athletes who possess the academic, athletic, and character attributes to excel at the collegiate level through prospecting, scouting, and networking.

– Engaging in direct marketing efforts, including reaching out to athletes, their families, and coaches through social media platforms to promote our services.

– Negotiating contracts with athletes, parents, and other relevant parties.

– Managing the image and likeness of athletes to enhance their marketability.

– Providing guidance and mentorship to athletes on best practices for the recruiting process, utilizing training and resources provided by the company.

– Assisting athletes in understanding and leveraging best practices for social media management through company-provided training.

– Overseeing marketing and promotional activities.

– Handling public relations issues effectively and professionally.

– Educating clients on Name, Image, and Likeness (N.I.L.) opportunities and brand management.

– Assisting clients in securing advantageous N.I.L. deals with local businesses and collectives.

-Writing articles/blog post on both websites diversionsm. And tdrecruits.com about your athletes represented. 

Posting to social media content about athletes created: Blog post articles, evaluations of film, graphics made, etc. 

-Create graphics as need be on Canva or other similar platforms following company guidelines and branding 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in sports management or a related field (preferred).

– High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

– Strong negotiation skills.

– In-depth knowledge of sports.

– Excellent time management skills.

– Solid business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

– Ability to build personal connections, engage customers, and maintain a courteous and professional demeanor in a team environment.

– Prior experience with social media, particularly with a significant following, is preferred.

– Professional, thorough, and organized with strong follow-up skills.

– A strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect athletes with college coaches and programs.

– Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.

– Quick and accurate learning of products, services, and procedures.

Work Setting:

– Remote

– Self-determined schedule

Weekly Day Range

– Monday to Friday

– Weekend availability may be required

Job Type:

– Contract-1099 position with full commission

Compensation: Commission + Bonuses

– In the first year, agents typically earn 60% or more in commission, with our top agents earning between $50,000 and $160,000 annually.
